Job Duties
- Greet guests
- check them in and out with friendliness, speed and accuracy
- maintain all paperwork required by shift
- handle cash drawer and balance shift report
- operate switchboard and transfer calls
- take guest messages with accuracy
- know room rates and hotel layout
- show rooms to prospective guests
- lock and secure desk area when leaving
- complete daily reports and correspondence
- set wake-up calls
- promote franchise membership club
- refer guests to other lodging when full
- provide directions and information on attractions
- take and record reservations
- check credit cards and guarantee reservations
- handle guest complaints
- drive guests to and from airport
- know emergency procedures and respond appropriately
- report hazards and investigate injuries
- prepare room status reports
- keep lobby and office clean
- operate computer systems and shut down procedures
- set up continental breakfast and make coffee
- complete call back sheets and comment logs
- comply with policies on personal use and social media
- perform other assigned duties
