Job Duties
- Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests
- Issues room key and escort instructions to Bell person or guest without announcing room numbers
- Date-stamps, sorts, and racks incoming mail and messages
- Transmits and receives messages using telephone, fax and switchboard
- Answers inquiries about hotel services, registration, dining, shopping, entertainment and travel directions
- Keeps records of room availability and guests' accounts
- Computes bills, collects payments, and makes change for guests
- Makes, confirms and cancels reservations
- Posts charges such as room, food, liquor or telephone
- Makes restaurant, transportation or entertainment reservations
- Deposits guests' valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box
- Orders complimentary flowers or champagne for special guests as directed
- Understands and enforces company credit policies
- Accounts for all cash and makes deposits per policies
- Communicates with front office and hotel departments
- Reports to work for scheduled shifts on time and in uniform
- Complies with company policies and procedures
- Greets guests in a friendly and warm manner
- Cross sells other Shamin Hotels
- Performs other related duties as required
