Job Requirements

Job Qualifications
- High-school graduate or equivalent
- One year of work-related experience in customer service, hotel industry, management, or related fields
- Proficient in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- Experience with data entry and database management
- Strong telephone etiquette
- Understanding of hospitality industry preferred
- Previous guest services experience preferred
- Bilingual communication skills preferred
- Experience with front office equipment
- Excellent communication and organizational skills
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks
- Physical ability to walk, sit, stand during shifts and lift up to 40 lbs
Job Duties
- Serve as concierge to guests (including making restaurant reservations, providing directions, recommending area attractions)
- Become familiar with property location, room types, rates, and services offered
- Review guest reservation status and length of stay, present options and alternatives using suggestive selling techniques
- Accommodate guests with registration, assign rooms, generate room cards, assist with special requests, monitor reservations and understand cancellation procedures
- Verify guest payment methods and adhere to credit and cash handling policies, post charges to accounts, manage safe deposit box procedures, and handle mailing and messaging
- Input guest information into PMS system and ensure front desk area is clean and presentable
- Coordinate with housekeeping on room statuses and maintenance requests
- Adapt to shift changes as required, attend meetings, report unusual occurrences to management, understand safety procedures
- Perform additional tasks to exceed guest satisfaction
