Job Requirements
- Have a high school diploma or equivalent
- have experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- experience as a receptionist or administrative assistant
- Microsoft Office experience in a Windows environment
- knowledge of alphanumeric filing systems
Job Duties
- Answer telephones and interact with the public as the receptionist
- make photocopies
- distribute mail
- file a variety of materials according to established department procedures
- archive materials and physically move boxes to appropriate areas
- use computer programs for word processing
- perform data entry and cashiering
- perform recordkeeping or more advanced bookkeeping functions as needed
- deal tactfully and courteously with the public, colleagues, and City employees, including difficult customer service situations
