Job Duties
- Process guest check-ins by confirming reservations assigning rooms and issuing room keys
- Handle all types of guest payments including accommodation charges cash cheques debit or credit cards
- Manage guest accounts including resolving disputed charges and late check-outs
- Respond to guest calls messages requests and questions
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are clean and ready for guests
- Communicate parking procedures and coordinate with bell staff as needed
- Provide guests with directions and information about the hotel and local area
- Prepare daily reports including arrivals departures and special requests
- Process guest personal and traveler’s cheques
- Manage cash balance at the start and end of shifts
- Balance receipts according to accounting specifications
- Maintain uniform appearance and uphold company policies
- Communicate professionally and assist guests including those with disabilities
- Perform physical tasks such as standing walking and lifting objects up to 10 pounds
- Execute other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
