Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must be 21 years or older
  • Minimum of 6 months previous work experience in a guest service position
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Effective oral and written communication skills

  • Minimum of 6 months previous work experience in a guest service position
  • Experience in customer service roles such as receptionist, administrative assistant, or medical receptionist preferred
  • Service oriented mindset
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to work independently
  • Good judgment, problem solving, and decision-making skills
  • Strong organization and time management skills
  • Experience with SMS or similar property management system is a plus

Job Duties

  • Review arrivals noting special requests, blocking rooms as needed
  • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner
  • Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, always ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Complete all items on checklist by end of shift
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, which includes VIPs, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests
  • Follow established key control policy
  • Ensure proper credit policies are followed
  • Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank, which involves counting and verifying cash, check, and credit card transactions occurring while on duty
  • Monitor room availability throughout the day
  • Research guest requests and create memorable amenities
