Job Duties
- Process guest check-ins through reservation confirmation, room assignment, and key issuance
- Process all types of guest payments including lodging expenses, cash, checks, debit, and credit cards
- Handle guest check-outs including disputed charges or late room departures
- Attend, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
- Coordinate with Housekeeping Department to ensure rooms are in perfect condition upon guest arrival
- Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors and dispatch bell staff as required
- Provide guests with hotel and local area information
- Prepare daily reports on arrivals and departures, identify special requests and validate report accuracy
- Complete cashier and closing reports in the computer system
- Collect personal and traveler checks from guests
- Compute cash drawer at beginning and end of shift
- Balance and submit receipts according to Accounting specifications
- Adhere to all company safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries, or unsafe conditions to management
- Maintain professional uniform and appearance, uphold company confidentiality and protect company property
- Greet and recognize all guests following company standards, anticipate and fulfill service needs, appreciate guests genuinely, and assist persons with disabilities
- Speak clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests
- Properly handle telephone calls following company protocol
- Cultivate and maintain positive working relationships with colleagues
- Comply with quality assurance standards
- Perform prolonged periods of standing, sitting, or walking
- Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
- Perform other reasonable work duties as assigned by supervisors
