Job Requirements

Job Duties

  • Process all guest check-ins including reservation confirmation and room assignment
  • Distribute and activate room keys
  • Process all payment types including lodging charges, cash, checks, debit, and credit cards
  • Handle guest account adjustments and questioned charges
  • Attend, record, and process guest calls, messages, requests, and inquiries
  • Coordinate with Housekeeping to ensure rooms are in perfect condition for guest arrivals
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and coordinate bell staff or valet as needed
  • Provide guests with hotel and local area information
  • Prepare daily reports on arrivals and departures, identify special requests, and verify accuracy
  • Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system
  • Collect personal and traveler's checks from guests
  • Compute cash drawer at the start and end of shifts
  • Balance and submit receipts according to Accounting specifications
  • Adhere to all company safety, security, and confidentiality policies
  • Greet and assist guests following company standards, anticipating their service needs
  • Maintain professional appearance and language
  • Cultivate positive working relationships with coworkers
  • Comply with quality assurance standards
  • Perform physical tasks including standing, walking, and moving objects up to 10 pounds
  • Perform reasonable additional duties as assigned by supervisors
