Job Duties

  • Process guest check-ins and check-outs through reservation confirmation, room assignment, and key delivery and activation
  • Process all types of payments including lodging charges, cash, checks, or debit/credit cards
  • Manage guest folios including disputed charges and late check-outs
  • Attend to, record, and process guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are in perfect condition for guest arrival
  • Communicate parking procedures to guests and visitors and dispatch bell staff or service personnel as needed
  • Provide directions and information to guests about the hotel and local points of interest
  • Prepare daily reports including arrivals and departures, identify special requests, and verify report accuracy
  • Complete cashier reports and closing reports in the computer system
  • Handle personal and traveler's check payments
  • Balance cash drawer at shift start and end and reconcile receipts per accounting standards
  • Comply with company security and safety policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions to management
  • Maintain professional appearance, confidentiality, and protect company assets
  • Welcome guests following company standards, anticipate needs, assist disabled individuals, and express genuine appreciation
  • Communicate clearly and professionally with colleagues and guests
  • Answer phones using appropriate protocol
  • Foster positive work relationships
  • Adhere to quality assurance standards
  • Stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
  • Move, lift, transport, push, drag, or place objects weighing up to 10 pounds without assistance
  • Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
