Job Requirements

  • At least one year of experience in customer service or related fields
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • Successful completion of hotel PMS test with minimum 80% score after training
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
  • Background screening for prior criminal history
  • Willingness to wear hotel uniform and comply with standards
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills

Job Qualifications

  • Preferably one year experience in customer service or related fields
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and database management systems
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Ability to work flexible schedules including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Emotionally competent with strong interpersonal skills
  • Ability to speak guests’ preferred language
  • Knowledge of front office systems and equipment
  • Sales-minded with organizational and administrative skills

Job Duties

  • Ensure appropriate checking in and checking out of guests
  • Provide services to guests in a courteous and professional manner
  • Serve as concierge including making reservations and providing recommendations
  • Manage guest reservations and room assignments
  • Verify methods of payment and follow credit-checking procedures
  • Post guest and room information in the PMS system
  • Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping and maintenance
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to promote hotel services
  • Handle safe deposit box procedures and mail handling
  • Attend department meetings and report unusual occurrences
  • Adhere to safety and emergency procedures
