Job Requirements

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • Availability to work 15 hours per week including weekdays from 3:15 PM to 8 PM and one Saturday per month from 7:45 AM to 5 PM
  • Ability to maintain professionalism and confidentiality
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks
  • Capacity to maintain building security and monitor visitor access
  • Basic administrative and clerical skills

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum 16 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred
  • High level of professionalism and customer service skills
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills
  • Ability to promote and maintain good public relations and treat visitors and staff with courtesy
  • Ability to assess situations and respond appropriately
  • Ability to communicate in an articulate, professional manner while maintaining confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently, meet deadlines, and multitask while maintaining quality standards

Job Duties

  • Greet visitors, determine nature of visit, and contact appropriate staff member to alert them of arrival
  • Perform general administrative and clerical duties including answering phones and answering the door
  • Maintain building security while providing administrative and reception support
  • Respond in a professional, courteous, and efficient manner to arriving and departing visitors and phone inquiries
  • Monitor visitor access and maintain security awareness
  • Serve as a role model by carrying out activities that reflect Boys Town values and principles
  • Carry out additional duties as assigned by a supervisor to meet organizational needs
