Job Requirements

  • Six months experience in the assigned recreational activity desired
  • skill to learn MCCS policies, rules and regulations
  • ability to communicate orally and in writing
  • knowledge of basic mathematics
  • ability to lift and carry objects up to 45 pounds independently and heavier objects with assistance
  • must meet minimum age requirement to sell alcohol
  • must be able to pass a National Agency Check and Inquiries (NACI)
  • must register with the Selective Service System if applicable
  • must agree to direct deposit of net pay
  • must comply with drug-free workplace policies

Job Duties

  • Involved in one or more recreational activities such as military center activities, athletics, fitness and sports programs, provide oversight of activities and necessary services to authorized patrons, provide general information on the use of equipment, ensure adherence to regulations and safety procedures, monitor and check the security of premises, maintain routine reports and perform clerical, custodial and general maintenance duties as needed, operate cash register, receive payments and make change, provide world class customer service with emphasis on courtesy, assist customers and communicate positively in a friendly manner, take action to solve problems quickly, report workplace hazards, injuries, illness or property damage to supervisor, adhere to standards supporting EEO program and prevention of sexual harassment
