Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required
  • previous clerical and customer service experience preferred
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • strong organizational and multitasking abilities
  • personable and cheerful demeanor
  • basic computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • ability to work effectively under pressure
  • adherence to institutional Code of Honor Pledge
  • compliance with FERPA policies

Job Duties

  • Ensure the Hammer Front Desk is staffed at all times
  • greet all persons entering the building
  • manage all aspects of front desk communications
  • answer patron questions
  • check out game items and inventory supplies
  • handle deliveries
  • perform other front desk duties
  • help solve problems between students and other patrons
  • monitor building use and report any problems to supervisors
  • offer the best customer service to students, parents, and other patrons at all times
  • occasionally work at other Concierge desks or events as needed
  • learn the Maximo campus work order system and enter dorm and facility work orders
  • assist the Concierge office and events in peak times
  • cross-train for other Concierge desks and duties
  • perform other various duties as assigned by supervisors
