Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting preferred
  • familiarity with medical terminology is a plus
  • excellent communication skills

  • physical ability to walk stand move equipment and lift 20-25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • manage patient check-ins and check-outs ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • answer phone calls schedule appointments and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
  • coordinate and schedule patient appointments using the office scheduling system
  • confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions
  • maintain an organized and up-to-date appointment calendar
  • assist with patient registration ensuring accurate completion of necessary paperwork
  • verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record system
  • handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries
  • collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • manage and maintain the reception area keeping it clean organized and inviting
  • handle incoming and outgoing mail as well as other general administrative tasks
  • provide information and directions to patients creating a comfortable and stress-free environment
  • address patient concerns and escalate issues to the appropriate staff when necessary
  • ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards
