Job Requirements

  • previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting preferred

  • physical ability to walk, stand, move equipment, and lift 20-25 pounds

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • manage patient check-ins and check-outs ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and respond to inquiries professionally
  • coordinate and schedule patient appointments using the office's scheduling system
  • confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions
  • assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of paperwork
  • verify and update patient information in the EMR system
  • handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries
  • collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • maintain a clean, organized, and inviting reception area
  • handle incoming and outgoing mail and other general administrative tasks
  • provide information and directions to patients creating a comfortable environment
  • address patient concerns and escalate issues as needed
  • ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards
  • manage appointment calendar and coordinate between multiple offices as required
