Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a medical office or dermatology setting preferred
  • Familiarity with medical terminology a plus
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail
  • Proficiency in computer systems and basic office software
  • Ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environment
  • Bilingual in Spanish strongly preferred
  • Ability to lift 20-25 pounds
  • Willingness to learn and grow within the organization

Job Duties

  • Greet and assist patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • Manage patient check-ins and check-outs ensuring a smooth and efficient process
  • Answer phone calls schedule appointments and respond to inquiries with professionalism and courtesy
  • Coordinate and schedule patient appointments using the office's scheduling system
  • Confirm upcoming appointments and provide necessary pre-visit instructions
  • Maintain an organized and up-to-date appointment calendar
  • Assist with patient registration and ensure accurate completion of necessary paperwork
  • Verify and update patient information in the electronic medical record system
  • Handle insurance verification and assist with billing inquiries
  • Collaborate with medical and administrative staff to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Manage and maintain the reception area keeping it clean organized and inviting
  • Handle incoming and outgoing mail and other general administrative tasks
  • Provide information and directions to patients creating a comfortable and stress-free environment
  • Address patient concerns and escalate issues to appropriate staff when necessary
  • Ensure patient confidentiality and uphold privacy standards
