Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

- Previous experience in hotel front desk or customer service role preferred
- Excellent communication skills
- Proficiency in hotel management software such as FOSSE
- Strong customer service orientation
- Ability to multitask and work under pressure
- Knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle cash transactions
- Friendly and outgoing personality
Job Duties
- Check guests in and out of the hotel
- Make future reservations when necessary
- Post valet charges and other miscellaneous charges to guest accounts
- Administer hotel guest payment policies
- Handle hotel phone system and transfer calls
- Take messages for guests and hotel staff
- Take, modify and cancel guest reservations inputting data into FOSSE and noting special requests
- Assist in verification, balancing and revenue maximization of hotel room availability
- Coordinate with other departments to fulfill guest special requests
- Communicate hotel facilities and services to guests at check-in
- Maintain a friendly and welcoming demeanor when interacting with guests
- Use the L.E.A.R.N model for guest recovery incidents
- Answer guest questions about local area facilities
- Manage shift cash transactions
- Follow hotel cash handling procedures
- Maintain hotel key security system
- Administer key control for issued and guest keys
- Administer guest safe deposit boxes
- Fill out maintenance work orders and deliver to appropriate personnel
- Know hotel emergency procedures and safety guidelines
- Follow hotel quality assurance standards
- Manage lost and found items
- Accommodate guest special requests courteously
- Inform housekeeping of room statuses
- Distribute mail to guests and staff
- Notify management of front desk supply or equipment issues
- Maintain inventory of guest service items
- Track status of guestrooms for tours and maintenance
- Notify housekeeping and maintenance of any problems
- Carry out reasonable management requests
