Job Requirements
- High school graduate or equivalent
- Must have good communication skills
- Must be team oriented and dedicated to providing excellent service
- Must be able to lift, bend, and stand for extended periods
- Ability to work any day of the week including weekends and holidays
- Previous hotel-related experience desired but not required
- Spanish speaking skills a plus
- Must be able to perform repetitive motions, hearing, and visual acuity requirements
- Must be able to occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds

Job Duties
- Register guests and assign rooms
- Accommodate special requests whenever possible
- Assist in pre-registration and blocking of rooms for reservations
- Adhere to proper credit, check-cashing, and cash-handling policies and procedures
- Understand and track room status
- Sell rooms and promote hotel services using suggestive selling techniques
- Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping
- Take same day and future reservations
- Know cancellation procedures
- File room keys
- Use front office equipment
- Process guest check-outs
- Post and file all charges to guest, master, and city ledger accounts
- Issue and close safe deposit boxes following procedures
- Use proper telephone etiquette
- Handle mail, package, and message procedures correctly
- Read daily pass-on log and bulletin board
- Attend department meetings
- Coordinate maintenance work with engineering and maintenance division
- Report unusual occurrences or requests to manager
- Know safety and emergency procedures
- Maintain cleanliness of front desk area
- Work shifting schedules as needed
- Process reservations according to policy
- Wash and fold linens as per brand standards
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Adhere to all company policies, procedures, and brand standards
