Job Duties
- Greet each member and guest enthusiastically using proper greeting for time of day
- Provide security and control to the front door and retail area
- Check each member into the gym using proper procedures
- Monitor check-ins for delinquent accounts and notify Gym Operations Supervisor
- Register all guests using proper registration procedures
- Direct guests and appointments promptly to appropriate fitness consultants
- Answer phone calls by the third ring using professional greeting
- Address caller requests and take appropriate messages
- Register telephone inquiries and transfer calls to fitness consultants
- Follow up on telephone inquiries to ensure booking
- Respond immediately to member requests, inquiries, and concerns
- Maintain neat appearance and wear proper uniform with nametag
- Distribute keys, towels, and other materials as needed
- Reserve time and make appointments for special classes or activities
- Process retail and concession sales
- Attend all staff meetings as directed
- Clean and maintain front desk area according to standards
- Conduct gym walk-throughs as designated
- Follow proper opening and closing procedures
- Log all maintenance concerns
- Report safety concerns
- Notify management of incidents requiring reports
- Work scheduled hours and adhere to attendance policies
- Perform other assignments including light cleaning and picking up weights
