Job Description

The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) Recreational Lodging Program is a vital component of the Fleet Readiness (N92) Directorate under the Commander, Navy Installations Command, located at Naval Construction Battalion Center (NCBC) Gulfport. This program is dedicated to providing high-quality lodging services to Navy personnel, their families, and eligible patrons, ensuring a comfortable and enjoyable experience during their stay. Job Requirements

  • one year of specialized experience directly related to front desk and reservation duties
  • knowledge of hospitality operations standards and regulations
  • proficiency with property management systems
  • skill in microsoft office programs
  • ability to resolve customer complaints
  • basic math skills
  • effective communication skills in english
  • ability to handle and account for cash
  • males must be registered or exempt from selective service
  • selectee must be suitable for federal employment
  • possible probationary period completion
  • participation in direct deposit pay program
  • social security card required
  • successful completion of employment verification (e-verify)
  • access to government facilities requires REAL ID or passport by may 7, 2025
  • favorable background check required

Job Qualifications

  • knowledge of basic principles, concepts, standards, and regulations related to hospitality operations
  • knowledge of an automated property management system
  • skill in resolving customer complaints

  • ability to handle, control, and account for large amounts of cash
  • ability to handle, address and resolve customer complaints
  • ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing in english

Job Duties

  • perform front desk operations for the MWR Recreational Lodging Program
  • manage reservations for RV Parks, Vacation Rentals, and campgrounds
  • handle customer inquiries and resolve complaints
  • operate automated property management systems
  • process cash and accounting transactions
  • maintain accurate guest records and reports
  • communicate effectively with guests and team members
