Job Qualifications

- Experience in a medical office or healthcare setting preferred

- Ability to operate multi-line phone systems and computer software
- Knowledge of medical terminology and insurance verification processes is advantageous

Job Duties
- Answering and directing central phone lines
- Front desk duties including greeting, check-in, discharge, and preparation of patient charts
- Patient scheduling, interviewing, and encounter registration
- Verifying insurance benefits and recording benefits for finance review
- Monitoring collection, quality control, and processing of charge documents
- Updating referrals and new authorization dates and extended treatments
- Performing other administrative duties as assigned
