Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent

Job Duties

  • Approach all encounters with guests and associates in a friendly, service-oriented manner
  • maintain high standards of personal appearance and grooming, including wearing the proper uniform and name tag
  • maintain regular attendance in compliance with scheduling requirements
  • comply with Avion Hospitality policies, standards, and regulations
  • greet and welcome all guests approaching the Front Desk with warmth
  • maintain proper operation of the telephone switchboard
  • handle requests for information, mail, and messages promptly
  • answer guest inquiries about hotel services, facilities, hours, and local attractions
  • establish and maintain good communication and teamwork with fellow associates and departments
  • be aware of all room rates, packages, special promotions, and house rules
  • obtain all necessary information for room reservations and follow rate quoting procedures
  • assist in emergency procedures as required
  • handle check-ins and check-outs efficiently and courteously
  • operate all relevant aspects of the Front Desk computer system
  • ensure the logging and delivery of packages, mail, and messages
  • use proper two-way radio etiquette
  • deliver guest items such as luggage and amenities when necessary
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of property amenities, events, and local attractions
  • perform other duties as assigned, including helping coworkers, maintaining cleanliness, and safety
