Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Minimum of one year experience in guest service or front desk role
  • Ability to handle cash and credit transactions accurately
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Flexibility to work shifts across a 7-day period including weekends, evenings, and public holidays
  • Ability to lift, push and pull objects weighing up to 50lbs
  • Basic computer skills and literacy
  • Fluency in local language
  • Willingness to follow safety protocols and wear protective gear when required

  • Strong communication skills
  • Problem-solving abilities
  • Fluency in the local language
  • Proficiency in reading, writing, basic math, and computer usage
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • College or university degree is a plus

Job Duties

  • Be the warm welcome that kicks off a memorable guest experience
  • Acknowledge IHG Rewards Club members and returning guests in person or on the phone
  • Take and manage guest bookings, up-selling opportunities and telling them about ways to improve their stay
  • Handle cash and credit transactions
  • Swiftly check guests in and out, take IDs, hand out room keys, and control and release safety deposit boxes
  • Stay one step ahead of guest needs by recording and acting on their preferences, and handle their messages, requests, questions, and concerns
  • Act as a trusted contact for all guests, help with bill issues and local knowledge, and involve management when necessary
  • Follow safety procedures, report incidents, and wear protective gear as required
  • Maintain a professional appearance and serve as a brand ambassador
  • Stay informed on daily scheduled events and activities
  • Assist colleagues with ad-hoc duties as needed
