Job Duties

  • Represents the hotel to guests during all stages of their stay
  • Determines guest reservation status and length of stay
  • Assists guests in completing registration cards and assigns rooms accommodating special requests
  • Verifies guest payment methods and follows credit checking procedures
  • Places guest and room information in appropriate front desk racks and communicates to relevant hotel personnel
  • Works with housekeeping to keep room status reports updated and coordinates maintenance requests
  • Maintains and supervises access to safe deposit boxes
  • Uses suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and hotel services
  • Coordinates room status updates with housekeeping for check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, special requests, and part-day rooms
  • Manages same day and future reservations and understands cancellation procedures
  • Processes guest check-outs and uses proper telephone and message handling etiquette
  • Attends department meetings and reads daily pass-on logs and bulletin boards
  • Reports unusual occurrences to management and follows all safety and emergency procedures
  • Maintains front desk cleanliness and neatness
  • Adapts to scheduling changes as business demands require
  • Follows all Lotus Management Inc policies and brand standards
