Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) desired but not essential
  • Previous related experience in hospitality or front desk service preferred
  • Comfortable working in a computerized environment
  • Ability to communicate effectively in English
  • Ability to read, write and perform basic mathematical computations
  • Ability to stay calm and organized under pressure
  • Excellent verbal and telephone communication skills
  • Ability to stand and be on feet for extended periods
  • Ability to lift approximately 20 pounds overhead
  • Flexibility to work varied schedules including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Ability to handle multiple demands calmly and efficiently

  • Basic math skills including adding, multiplying, and calculating taxes and percentages

Job Duties

  • Complete and stay current on all Hampton and Hilton Worldwide mandated training and certifications
  • Accurately make reservations for guests staying with hotel
  • Always protect the security and privacy of guests and clients
  • Check guests into the hotel following the proper steps of check-in, ensuring that accurate guest information is recorded
  • Verify a valid form of payment at check-in
  • Check guests out of the hotel, following proper steps and providing a fond farewell
  • Communicate with bell/driver staff to ensure timely pick up and drop off of guests
  • Accurately record information for wakeup calls to guest rooms
  • Assist guests with billing inquiries
  • Assist and direct guests to meeting rooms and stay informed on meetings and functions
  • Be knowledgeable of surrounding area attractions, restaurants, and shopping options
  • Assist guests with questions regarding hotel amenities and hours
  • Assist management with day-to-day arrivals and HHonors assignments
  • Exceed guest expectations as measured by direct feedback and online reviews
  • Contribute to a team culture fostering continuous improvement and superior guest service
  • Ensure brand standards of operation, safety and service are maintained
  • Execute financial control procedures for cash, vouchers and receivables
  • Assist with group information entry and banquet billing as requested
  • Coordinate effectively with Housekeeping and Engineering to fulfill guest requests and maintain hotel conditions
