Job Requirements

  • hs diploma or equivalent
  • minimum 3 months hospitality general office accounts receivable or customer service experience
  • ability to speak and hear in english
  • close and distance vision
  • frequent sitting with some walking and standing
  • frequently lifts or carries up to 25 lbs
  • continual use of manual dexterity and gross motor skills
  • able to work overtime and irregular hours

Job Duties

  • greet register and assign rooms to guests
  • issue room key and escort instructions without announcing room numbers
  • answer inquiries about hotel services registration shopping dining entertainment and travel directions
  • keep records of room availability and guests accounts
  • make confirm and cancel reservations for guests
  • compute bill collect payment and make change
  • post charges for room food liquor or telephone
  • date-stamp sort and rack incoming mail and messages
  • transmit and receive messages using telephone fax and switchboard
  • enforce hotel company credit policies
  • account for all cash and make deposits according to policies
  • take initiative to greet guests warmly
  • if in lead capacity take responsibility for assigned employees assign work and ensure proper performance
  • make restaurant transportation or entertainment reservations
  • deposit guests valuables in hotel safe or safe-deposit box
  • order complimentary flowers or champagne for special guests
  • perform other duties as assigned
