Job Requirements

  • At least a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in customer service, hotel, food and beverage restaurant administrative, human resources, legal, educational, training, financial, or business related field
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, and database management systems
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and handle stressful situations effectively
  • Must wear hotel GSA uniform in compliance with hotel standards
  • Background screening for previous criminal history
  • Employment may be contingent upon at least 80% score on test on hotel's reservations system after training

Job Qualifications

  • At least a high school diploma or G.E.D.
  • Preferably 1 year of experience in customer service, hospitality, or related fields
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, data entry, and database management
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Ability to effectively manage stressful situations and multi-task
  • Knowledge of proper telephone etiquette and front office procedures
  • Sales-minded with the ability to suggest and promote hotel services
  • Emotional intelligence with the capacity to interact positively with guests and handle disputes
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Duties

  • Check guests in and out courteously and professionally
  • Provide concierge services including restaurant reservations and local attraction recommendations
  • Verify guest payment methods and adhere to credit-checking procedures
  • Manage room status updates and coordinate with housekeeping and maintenance departments
  • Utilize suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and hotel services
  • Handle guest registrations and assign rooms according to guest preferences
  • Maintain cleanliness and neatness of the front desk area
  • Follow safety and emergency procedures
  • Attend department meetings and communicate guest issues to management
  • Operate front office equipment and post charges to guest accounts
