Job Requirements
- must be able to stand and move for up to 4 hours
- able to lift up to 45 lbs
- able to push and pull carts up to 250 lbs
- able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch occasionally
- basic high school education or equivalent
- experience in customer service or hospitality preferred
- excellent communication skills
- knowledge of basic computer programs
- ability to handle cash and balancing cash drawer
- good organizational skills
- ability to work varying schedules
- maintain neat and well-groomed appearance
- regular attendance
- comply with hotel policies and safety standards
Job Qualifications
- high school or equivalent education
- experience in the hospitality industry preferred
- experience in a front desk or customer service role preferred
- good communication skills verbal, written and electronic
- basic computer skills including knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system and POS
- strong organizational and customer relations skills
- detail oriented with outstanding communication abilities
- able to work independently
- excellent issue resolution and analytical skills
Job Duties
- Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
- execute the registration and checkout process at the front desk
- accept payment for guests accounts including maintaining a house bank and making accurate daily deposits and reports
- accurately handle cash transactions and balance a cash drawer
- acknowledge rewards members and returning guests
- take and manage guest bookings and up-selling opportunities
- review arrival reports and ensure special request reservations are handled correctly
- attend scheduled trainings and meetings
- ensure awareness of promotions, activities and VIP arrivals
- practice safe work habits and comply with security protocols
- answer and properly transfer calls
- coordinate guest needs with other departments and follow up on guest requests
- answer inquiries about hotel policies, services, and local attractions
- maintain lobby cleanliness and assist with mail, packages, and facsimiles
- perform other duties assigned by management
