Job Requirements

  • High school or equivalent education
  • Experience in hospitality preferred
  • Experience in front desk or customer service preferred
  • Ability to stand and move for extended periods
  • Ability to lift up to 45 lbs
  • Ability to operate office equipment
  • Good communication skills
  • Basic computer literacy
  • Ability to work varied schedules
  • Compliance with grooming and attendance policies
  • Ability to follow safety and security procedures
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in hospitality industry preferred
  • Experience in front desk or customer service preferred
  • Good communication skills, verbal, written and electronic
  • Basic computer skills including Windows OS and MS Office
  • Knowledge of PMS, PBX, Key system and POS
  • Excellent leadership and customer relations skills
  • Detail oriented with strong organizational abilities
  • Strong computational skills
  • Ability to deal with internal and external customers effectively
  • Self-driven and able to work independently
  • Strong issue resolution and analytical skills

Job Duties

  • Greet and welcome guests upon arrival
  • Execute the registration and checkout process at the front desk
  • Accept payment for guests accounts, maintain a house bank, and make deposits
  • Accurately handle cash transactions and balance cash drawer
  • Acknowledge rewards members and returning guests
  • Take and manage guest bookings and up-selling opportunities
  • Review arrival reports and special requests to ensure proper room assignments
  • Attend trainings, departmental and hotel meetings
  • Ensure awareness of special promotions, VIPs, and scheduled activities
  • Practice safe work habits and follow safety protocols
  • Follow privacy and security procedures
  • Answer calls promptly and transfer to appropriate departments
  • Cooperate with other departments to coordinate guest needs
  • Log guest requests and follow up for resolution
  • Answer inquiries about hotel services and local attractions
  • Maintain extensive knowledge of the hotel and city
  • Maintain lobby cleanliness and organization
  • Assist in booking reservations and handling mail, packages, and guest items
  • Perform other duties as assigned
