Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Plus one year of hotel guest service experience
  • Must speak fluent English
  • Must have a flexible schedule
  • May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • At least one year of hotel guest service experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Some college coursework completed is preferred
  • Bilingual skills are a plus
  • Knowledge of the OPERA system is preferred
  • Excellent communication skills

Job Duties

  • Practice OSHA standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
  • Greet guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner
  • Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
  • Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner, handle PBX shifts
  • Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
  • Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions according to established procedures including posting charges, completing reports, preparing deposit, and securing assigned bank
  • Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes
  • Communicate outstanding guest requests or issues to management requiring monitoring or follow-up
  • Respond appropriately to guest complaints and make service recovery gestures
  • Book guest reservations for individuals and groups, process cancellations and updates
  • Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments
  • Provide local directions and general information to callers
  • Act as a central communications point during emergency/crisis situations and follow emergency protocols
  • Respond to in-house guest concerns and notify management of equipment issues
  • Operate in-house paging system and coordinate with security and maintenance
  • Perform other duties such as recording incoming packages and providing concierge services
