Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Plus one year of hotel guest service experience
- Must speak fluent English
- Must have a flexible schedule
- May be required to work nights, weekends, and/or holidays
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- At least one year of hotel guest service experience
- Fluency in English
- Flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Some college coursework completed is preferred
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Knowledge of the OPERA system is preferred
- Excellent communication skills
Job Duties
- Practice OSHA standards and comply with all company safety policies and procedures
- Greet guests in a friendly, prompt and professional manner
- Register guests, issue room keys, provide information on hotel services and room location
- Answer phones in a prompt and courteous manner, handle PBX shifts
- Up-sell rooms where possible to maximize hotel revenue
- Accurately process all cash and credit card transactions according to established procedures including posting charges, completing reports, preparing deposit, and securing assigned bank
- Issue, control and release guest safe-deposit boxes
- Communicate outstanding guest requests or issues to management requiring monitoring or follow-up
- Respond appropriately to guest complaints and make service recovery gestures
- Book guest reservations for individuals and groups, process cancellations and updates
- Promote teamwork and quality service through communication with other departments
- Provide local directions and general information to callers
- Act as a central communications point during emergency/crisis situations and follow emergency protocols
- Respond to in-house guest concerns and notify management of equipment issues
- Operate in-house paging system and coordinate with security and maintenance
- Perform other duties such as recording incoming packages and providing concierge services
