Job Duties

  • Books guest reservations and/or coordinates with reservation center
  • Registers guests in a prompt and courteous manner using up-selling techniques
  • Prepares for group check-ins, check-outs, and VIP arrivals
  • Greets, registers, and assigns rooms to guests
  • Handles confidential guest information with high integrity
  • Answers and routes calls, takes guest messages accurately
  • Assists with sales and marketing efforts as directed
  • Offers and manages wake-up call requests
  • Records pertinent guest information in the pass on log
  • Replenishes continental breakfast and maintains cleanliness
  • Ensures common area and lobby cleanliness
  • Performs laundry functions as directed
  • Processes customer payments and balances cash at shift start and end
  • Promotes hotel services and local attractions
  • Resolves minor guest complaints and escalates major issues
  • Responds promptly to guest requests and follows up for satisfaction
  • Completes daily paperwork including cashier reports and deposits
  • Transmits and receives messages using various communication equipment
  • Maintains a professional appearance and follows company policies
