Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to operate the Property Management System
  • Must be able to balance daily shift bank accurately
  • Good communication skills
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Able to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Able to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
  • Knowledge of customer service principles
  • Able to work under moderate noise levels
  • Basic computer skills
  • Ability to follow procedures and policies rigorously

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to guest questions
  • Ability to solve practical problems and interpret instructions in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to operate the Property Management System
  • Ability to capture email
  • Ability to use the PBX system
  • Accountability for balancing the daily shift bank
  • Ability to maintain organization and demonstrate quality service

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms, including VIPs, repeat guests, all packages, and any special requests
  • Check in and out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner
  • Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably, ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Complete all items on appropriate shift checklists by end of shift
  • Follow established key control policy
  • Ensure personal presentation, including uniforms and hygiene
  • Ensure proper credit policies are followed and verify credit limit report
  • Submit all lost and found articles with completed reports
  • Be knowledgeable of immediate area, services, attractions, and assist with concierge services
  • Be knowledgeable of fire and emergency procedures
  • Open, secure, and balance out daily shift bank involving cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Monitor room availability throughout the day
  • Review daily selling status of the hotel using yield management system
  • Attend department meetings monthly
  • Perform all other duties as directed by immediate supervisor
  • Coordinate with other departments like Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet to ensure excellent guest satisfaction
