Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • ability to effectively present information and respond to guest questions
  • problem-solving skills to deal with various situations
  • ability to interpret instructions in various formats
  • ability to operate Property Management System and PBX system
  • accountability for balancing daily shift bank
  • ability to maintain organization and demonstrate quality service
  • ability to stand, walk, talk, hear
  • occasional lifting or moving up to 25 pounds
  • ability to adjust vision focus

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests
  • check in and check out hotel guests professionally and confidently
  • answer phone calls promptly and knowledgeably
  • complete shift checklists by end of shift
  • follow key control policy
  • maintain well-presented appearance
  • ensure proper credit policies are followed
  • submit lost and found reports
  • assist with concierge services
  • be knowledgeable of fire and emergency procedures
  • open, secure, and balance daily shift bank
  • monitor room availability
  • review daily hotel selling status using yield management system
  • attend monthly department meetings
  • coordinate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
