This job opening is with a well-established hotel that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing consistent hospitality services for guests from diverse backgrounds. Job Requirements
- Graduation from high school or equivalent education
- Prior hospitality experience preferred
- Considerable skill in using a calculator and performing complex math accurately
- Effective communication skills in English
- Ability to operate computer systems for data input
- Physical ability to stand 95 percent of the shift
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
- Capacity for frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
- Capability to twist, bend, stoop, reach, stand, and walk when necessary
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma preferred
- Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required
- Skillful use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
- Ability to deal effectively with customers requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
- Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
- Ability to access and accurately input information into a moderately complex computer system
- Visual and hearing ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations
Job Duties
- Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome
- Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system
- Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization and handle cash transactions
- Promptly answer telephone calls and input messages accurately
- Close guest accounts at checkout and ensure customer satisfaction
- Field guest complaints and resolve issues using experienced judgment and discretion
- Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
- Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
- Assist other front desk personnel when needed
- Perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
