This job opening is with a well-established hotel that operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, providing consistent hospitality services for guests from diverse backgrounds. Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent education
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Considerable skill in using a calculator and performing complex math accurately
  • Effective communication skills in English
  • Ability to operate computer systems for data input
  • Physical ability to stand 95 percent of the shift
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • Capacity for frequent talking, hearing, seeing, and smiling
  • Capability to twist, bend, stoop, reach, stand, and walk when necessary

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred but not required
  • Skillful use of a calculator to prepare moderately complex mathematical calculations without error
  • Ability to deal effectively with customers requiring patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Ability to read, listen, and communicate effectively in English verbally and in writing
  • Ability to access and accurately input information into a moderately complex computer system
  • Visual and hearing ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations

Job Duties

  • Greet customers with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving information from a computer system
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization and handle cash transactions
  • Promptly answer telephone calls and input messages accurately
  • Close guest accounts at checkout and ensure customer satisfaction
  • Field guest complaints and resolve issues using experienced judgment and discretion
  • Adhere to all company policies and safety procedures
  • Maintain neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • Assist other front desk personnel when needed
  • Perform related duties as requested by supervisor or manager
