Job Requirements

  • high school or equivalent education
  • hospitality industry experience preferred
  • experience in front desk or customer service role preferred
  • able to stand for up to four hours
  • able to lift up to 45 lbs
  • able to push and pull carts and equipment up to 250 lbs
  • able to maneuver in limited space
  • good communication skills
  • basic computer skills
  • punctual and reliable attendance
  • maintain neat, clean and well-groomed appearance
  • comply with safety and security procedures
  • ability to speak, read, write and understand the primary workplace language

Job Qualifications

  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • experience in the hospitality industry preferred
  • experience in front desk or customer service role preferred
  • good communication skills verbal, written and electronic
  • basic computer skills
  • knowledge of Windows OS, MS Office, PMS, PBX, key system and POS
  • leadership capability and customer relations skills
  • detail oriented with outstanding organizational and communication skills
  • computational ability
  • ability to effectively deal with customers requiring patience, tact and diplomacy
  • self-driven and able to work independently
  • strong issue resolution and analytical skills

Job Duties

  • greet and welcome guests upon arrival
  • execute the registration and checkout process at the front desk
  • accept payment for guests accounts both at registration and checkout, maintain a house bank, make deposit and accurate daily reports
  • accurately handle cash transactions and balance cash drawer
  • acknowledge rewards members and returning guests
  • take and manage guest bookings, upselling opportunities, and inform guests about ways to improve their stay
  • review current day arrival reports and ensure special request reservations are properly handled
  • attend all scheduled training, departmental and hotel meetings
  • ensure awareness of special promotions, daily activities, arriving VIPs, group/conferences in house, special requests, and scheduled shuttles
  • practice safe work habits and follow safety procedures
  • follow privacy and security protocols, company and departmental procedures
  • answer all calls promptly and transfer to appropriate departments
  • cooperate with other departments for guest needs coordination
  • log all guest requests and room defects, follow up for resolution
  • answer inquiries on hotel policies, services, dining, entertainment and travel directions
  • maintain extensive knowledge of hotel facilities and local attractions
  • maintain lobby cleanliness and organization
  • assist in booking reservations
  • assist with mail, packages, facsimiles, and guest items
  • perform other duties assigned by manager or supervisor
