Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree
  • Three to six months related experience and or training
  • Ability to stand for long periods
  • Capability to lift and or move up to 50 pounds
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Effective multitasking skills
  • Basic computer and PBX telephone skills
  • Ability to read and comprehend instructions and memos
  • Ability to present information clearly to customers and coworkers
  • Sound judgment in problem solving
  • Ability to work variable shifts including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Three to six months related experience or training preferred
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to multitask and pay attention to detail
  • Experience with property management system Opera preferred
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Ability to handle guest complaints with tact
  • Basic knowledge of hotel operations and services

Job Duties

  • Check work schedule and report for shifts on time in uniform
  • Punch in and out correctly on time clock
  • Act in a professional manner at all times
  • Greet and welcome guests and visitors
  • Manage cash drawer and follow cash procedures
  • Close out folios and follow drop procedures
  • Monitor public email and respond to inquiries
  • Maintain knowledge of hotel facilities and packages
  • Handle guest complaints with politeness and creative solutions
  • Take individual and block reservations, including from GDS
  • Check guests in and out of their rooms
  • Assist guests with various requests and amenities
  • Handle guest requests and complaints professionally
  • Answer hotel phones promptly and direct calls appropriately
  • Enter wake-up calls and coffee delivery requests
  • Issue and track keys for managers and employees
  • Post daily charges to guest folios
  • Perform related duties as assigned
  • Keep front desk area clean and stocked
  • Assist in training new front desk staff
  • Perform miscellaneous downtime tasks
