- Knowledge of the local area and hotel services preferred
Job Duties
- Process guest check-ins by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and issuing room keys
- Handle various payment types including cash, checks, debit, and credit cards
- Manage guest folios, including disputed charges and late check-outs
- Respond to guest calls, messages, requests, questions, and concerns
- Coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are in perfect condition for guest arrival
- Provide guests and visitors with parking procedures and direct bell staff as needed
- Offer directions and information about the hotel and local points of interest
- Prepare daily reports including arrivals and departures, and verify report accuracy
- Complete cashier reports and closing reports in the computer system
- Collect personal and traveler’s checks from guests
- Balance cash drawer at shift start and end
- Follow all company safety and security policies and report accidents or unsafe conditions
- Adhere to company policies, maintain professional appearance, and protect company assets
- Welcome all guests according to company standards and anticipate service needs
- Communicate clearly and professionally with guests and colleagues
- Cultivate positive working relationships with others
- Comply with quality assurance standards
- Perform physical tasks such as standing, walking, and moving objects up to 10 pounds
- Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors
