Job Duties
- Process all guest check-in records by confirming reservations, assigning rooms, and activating room keys
- process all types of payments including lodging charges and payments by cash, checks, debit or credit cards
- manage all guest folios including disputed charges or late check-out fees
- attend, record and process all calls, messages, requests, questions or guest concerns
- coordinate with housekeeping to ensure rooms are in perfect condition upon guest arrival
- communicate parking procedures to guests and coordinate with bell or service staff as needed
- provide directions and information about the hotel and local areas of interest
- prepare daily reports including arrivals and departures, identify special requests, and verify accuracy
- complete cashier and closing reports in the computer system
- collect personal and traveler's checks from guests
- balance the cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- comply with all company safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries and unsafe conditions to management
- adhere to company policies including maintaining clean and professional appearance and confidentiality of information
- greet and recognize all guests according to company standards and anticipate their service needs
- use clear, professional language in communication
- handle telephone calls with appropriate protocol
- cultivate and maintain positive work relationships
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested
- stand, sit or walk for prolonged periods
- lift or move objects up to 10 pounds without assistance
