Job Requirements

  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • must have a positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • able to understand and follow established guidelines and procedures
  • must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • effective at listening to, understanding, clarifying, and resolving concerns and issues
  • must be able to convey information and ideas clearly
  • must have a desire to serve all guests
  • willing to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled times
  • clock in and out for breaks as scheduled
  • provide sufficient notice when calling out for a shift
  • able to stand or remain stationary for 3-4 hours at a time
  • able to type, operate office machinery, and handle objects and tools
  • able to bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport supplies up to 25 pounds
  • able to inspect and observe details at close and long range
  • able to lift packages or general office equipment occasionally
  • able to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use guests' names whenever possible to ensure they feel welcomed
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • have strong knowledge of hotel facilities and amenities
  • support all hotel events and groups
  • answer calls with friendly service using approved greeting
  • check guests in and out efficiently
  • contact guests after check-in to ensure room satisfaction
  • maintain up-to-date understanding of room rates and promotions
  • receive and note all incoming mail as required
  • keep workspaces clean and well-organized
  • complete operational checklists accurately and on time
  • submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • wear clean, approved uniform and maintain professional grooming
  • communicate clearly and professionally with team members
  • collaborate to create welcoming environment and positive workplace
