Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- two years of previous hotel experience
- background in extended stay industry preferred
- ability to speak, read and write fluent English
- professional verbal and written communication skills
- mathematical skills including basic math, budgeting and profit/loss concepts preferred
- problem solving, reasoning, motivating, organizational and training abilities preferred
- required to obtain ServSafe certification
- may be required to obtain TIPS certification
- experience with Microsoft Office and Opera systems
- valid driver’s license
- ability to frequently stand, bend, climb, kneel and move about the facility
- ability to carry, lift or pull items weighing up to 50 pounds
- frequently handle objects and equipment
- willingness to work mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays

Job Duties
- Deliver on the promise of Sonesta Service in all interactions with guests and clients
- manage according to the Sonesta G.U.E.S.T. standards and instill a passion for customer service in all associates
- ensure all staff is properly trained on front desk operations, hotel facilities, local directions and emergency procedures
- supervise the front desk and reservation functions ensuring superior guest services and security of transactions and guest information
- supervise cash, credit card transactions, and guest information security
- manage seasonal demand reservation strategy and optimize revenue using Opera and Synxis systems
- establish effective communication systems through logs, meetings and one-on-one interactions
- fulfill guest special requests and ensure proper delivery of guest services
- supervise daily execution and maintenance of hotel shoppe and pour areas
- implement service recovery guidelines and respond to guest complaints professionally
- promote teamwork and quality service through coordination with other shifts and departments
- register guests, issue room keys, and provide hotel information
- supervise accurate processing of cash and credit card transactions including preparing reports and deposits
- communicate guest requests or issues to management
- regularly sell hotel rooms through direct client contact
- ensure compliance with health, safety, and alcohol service laws
- perform other assigned duties
