Job Duties
- Process all guest check-in and check-out records including reservation confirmation, room assignment, and key issuance and activation
- process all payment types including lodging charges, cash, checks, and credit or debit cards
- handle guest folios including queried charges or late check-outs
- answer, record, and process all guest calls, messages, requests, questions, or concerns
- coordinate with housekeeping department to ensure rooms are ready for guest arrival
- inform guests and visitors of parking procedures and direct bell attendants or service staff as needed
- provide guests with directions and information about the hotel and local areas of interest
- prepare daily reports including arrivals and departures, identify special requests, and verify report accuracy
- complete cashier and closing reports in the computer system
- collect personal and traveler’s checks from guests
- compute cash drawer at beginning and end of shift
- balance and deliver receipts according to accounting specifications
- comply with company safety and security policies and report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions to management
- follow company policies and procedures, maintain a neat and professional appearance, protect proprietary information and company assets
- greet and acknowledge all guests according to company standards
- anticipate and meet guest service needs
- assist guests with disabilities
- communicate clearly and professionally
- answer phones using proper protocol
- cultivate and maintain positive working relationships
- adhere to quality assurance expectations and standards
- stand, sit, or walk for extended periods
- move, lift, transport, push, pull, and place objects weighing 10 pounds or less without assistance
- perform other reasonable job duties as requested by supervisors
