Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED)
  • previous front desk, reservations, concierge, bell desk, or night audit experience
  • work authorization in the United States
  • ability to work flexible shifts including morning, mid-evening, and evening
  • strong communication skills
  • customer service orientation
  • attention to detail
  • cash handling experience

Job Qualifications

  • previous experience in front desk, reservations, concierge, bell desk, or night audit
  • strong communication and customer service skills
  • proficiency with front desk computer systems
  • knowledge of hotel policies and local area
  • ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
  • excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
  • ability to work varied shifts including mornings, evenings, and weekends

Job Duties

  • Greet, register, check out, and assist guests efficiently and courteously
  • manage front desk computer operations for arrivals and departures
  • maintain control of room keys and follow sign out procedures
  • handle walk-ins, stay-over, and room charges accurately
  • post charges to guests and manage master bills
  • handle safe keys according to property procedures
  • apply knowledge of room rates, packages, and discounts
  • manage group arrivals and inform guests about hotel functions
  • ensure no check-outs with balances due
  • familiarize guests with hotel facilities
  • maintain logbook and read memos
  • manage cash drawer and report discrepancies
  • communicate guest requests to housekeeping
  • welcome return guests
  • follow safety and emergency procedures
  • attend front desk meetings
  • conduct weekly key inventories
  • manage telephone, mail, and message systems
  • handle forms and vouchers
  • fill out guest feedback forms and report
  • coordinate with supervisors on hotel and front desk concerns
  • understand operations of guest services, concierge, and reservations departments
  • perform tasks as directed by front desk supervisor
