Job Requirements

  • must work well in stressful, high-pressure situations
  • arrive and clock in on time for every shift worked and clock out at scheduled time unless directed
  • clock in and out for breaks at designated times
  • provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift
  • able to stand or remain stationary for 3-4 hours at a time
  • able to operate computers and office machinery including 10-key operation and telephone use
  • able to bend, stoop, crouch, lift and transport supplies up to 25 pounds
  • must inspect and observe details at close and long range
  • able to lift packages or office equipment occasionally
  • read, write, understand and communicate effectively in English

Job Qualifications

  • experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • effective listening, understanding, clarifying, and conflict resolution skills
  • ability to convey information and ideas clearly
  • desire to serve all guests
  • must be 18 years of age or older
  • willing to work evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as required

Job Duties

  • greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • use guests' names whenever possible to ensure a personalized welcome
  • contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • maintain strong knowledge of hotel facility and amenities
  • support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
  • understand and use relevant technology for the role
  • answer incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • greet guests politely even while performing cleaning duties
  • complete all operational checklists accurately and on time
  • prepare accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • wear a clean, approved uniform and maintain professional grooming
  • communicate clearly, honestly, and professionally with other team members
  • demonstrate a can-do attitude to meet business and guest needs
  • collaborate with all team members to create a welcoming environment
  • ensure timely check-ins and check-outs
  • contact guests post check-in to ensure room satisfaction
  • maintain up-to-date knowledge of room rates and promotions
  • receive and note all incoming mail as per daily shift checklist
