Job Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous front desk, reservations, concierge, bell desk or night audit experience
- Authorization to work in the United States
- Ability to work varying shifts including mornings, mid-evenings, and evenings
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic math skills for cash handling
- Customer service oriented
- Knowledge of hotel policies and procedures
- Ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure

Job Duties
- Greet, register, and check out guests efficiently
- Assist guests courteously and professionally in all front office functions
- Operate front desk computer systems and handle arrivals and departures
- Maintain control and follow sign-out procedures for room and departmental keys
- Handle walk-ins, stay-over guests, and room charges
- Post charges to guests, master bills, and other relevant accounts
- Manage safe keys according to property procedures
- Adjust room rates and package pricing as necessary
- Monitor reservations and future availability
- Handle group arrivals and inform guests about in-house and off-site functions
- Ensure no check-outs occur with balances due
- Familiarize guests with hotel facilities
- Read and initial the logbook and read memos at shift start
- Count and balance cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts
- Communicate early departures, late check-outs, and special requests to housekeeping
- Welcome and acknowledge returning guests
- Know all safety and emergency procedures
- Attend front desk meetings
- Conduct weekly key inventories
- Manage telephone, mail, and message systems
- Keep supervisors informed of guest feedback and hotel concerns
- Understand operations of guest services concierge and reservations departments
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the front desk supervisor
