Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • Experience in a hospitality, service, consumer-facing franchise or related field preferred
  • Must have a positive can-do attitude and willingness to learn
  • Ability to follow established guidelines and procedures
  • Ability to work well in high-pressure situations
  • Effective listening, conflict resolution, and communication skills
  • Desire to provide hospitality and excellent guest service
  • Willingness to work varied schedules including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
  • Must arrive and clock in on time for every shift and clock out at scheduled time
  • Must clock in and out for breaks as scheduled
  • Provide sufficient notice when calling out for a scheduled shift
  • Ability to perform physical tasks such as standing for long periods, bending, lifting up to 25 pounds
  • Must be able to read, write, understand, and communicate effectively in English

Job Duties

  • Greet guests happily upon arrival and throughout their stay with a smile
  • Use guests' names whenever possible to make them feel welcomed
  • Work collaboratively to contribute to great guest satisfaction scores
  • Handle challenging guest situations with hospitality and urgency
  • Maintain strong knowledge of all hotel facilities and amenities
  • Support and be aware of all groups and events at the hotel
  • Answer incoming calls with friendly service using the approved greeting
  • Keep all workspaces clean and well-organized
  • Pitch in to clean guest rooms and public spaces as needed
  • Greet guests with hospitality while cleaning
  • Complete operational checklists accurately during every shift
  • Submit accurate and timely shift handover reports
  • Wear a clean, approved uniform and be well-groomed
  • Maintain clear, honest, and professional communication with team members
  • Willingly stretch beyond traditional role to meet business and guest needs
  • Collaborate to create a welcoming environment for guests and a positive workplace
  • Ensure timely check-in and check-out of all guests
  • Contact guests after check-in to ensure satisfaction
  • Keep up-to-date on room rates and promotions
  • Receive and note all incoming mail as required per the daily shift checklist
