Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Basic math skills
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Valid driver's license
  • Good driving record
  • Ability to lift or move up to 50 pounds occasionally with assistance
  • Flexibility to work any shift as needed including weekends and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous experience in a customer service or hospitality role preferred but not required
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Proficiency with computer systems and basic software applications
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to handle cash transactions and follow cash handling policies
  • Valid driver's license with a good driving record
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Willingness to perform various job functions and adapt to different shifts and duties

Job Duties

  • Provide the highest quality of service to the guest at all times and anticipate and exceed guest expectations
  • Give a warm and sincere greeting and efficiently check guests in and out while using the guest's name at least twice
  • Handle guest registration, room assignments, and room blocking including accommodating special requests whenever possible
  • Follow correct check-in/check-out procedures for all guests
  • Answer the telephone within three rings with a smile and respond to or transfer calls accordingly
  • Manage issued bank, count bank at beginning and end of shift, report cash over/shorts, and comply with cash handling procedures
  • Handle guest mail and messages and manage wake-up calls and do not disturb requests
  • Operate the hotel computer or property management system effectively
  • Develop a thorough knowledge of hotel staff, services, hours, room locations, rates, amenities, and surrounding area
  • Monitor room availability, selling strategies, discounts, and frequent guest program benefits
  • Maintain a clean and organized desk area and contribute to the hotel’s cleanliness
  • Forward lost and found inquiries to the Housekeeping Department
  • Ensure security and confidentiality of all guest and hotel information
  • Notify management or maintenance of maintenance issues and complete work orders as needed
  • Attend work on time, adhere to attendance policies and participate in daily pre-shift meetings
  • Communicate properly with guests, team members, and managers and effectively respond to guest complaints
  • Practice safety standards and use personal protective equipment as required
  • Transport guests in hotel van when needed
  • Lift, carry or move up to 10 lbs regularly and up to 50 lbs occasionally with assistance while following proper procedures
  • Perform any other reasonable duties assigned including redeployment to meet business demands
  • Maintain par levels of guest and team member items and ensure accessibility
  • Wear uniform and name tag at all times while maintaining grooming standards
  • Treat all equipment carefully to minimize damage and reduce waste
  • Promote positive teamwork and morale
  • Adhere to all work rules, procedures, and policies
  • Complete required training including Chemical and Blood Borne Pathogen Training
  • Read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Perform other duties as assigned
