Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Preferably 1 year of customer service experience in hotel, restaurant, administrative, or related field
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
  • Ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Strong customer service skills
  • Effective written and oral communication
  • Ability to multitask and handle stressful situations
  • Willingness to wear hotel GSA uniform
  • Ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
  • May occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Background screening including previous criminal history
  • Employment contingent on passing hotel PMS test with at least 80% score

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

  • Ensure appropriate checking in and checking out of guests
  • Provide courteous and professional services to guests
  • Use property management systems to handle reservations and room assignments
  • Assist guests with registration and accommodate special requests
  • Verify payment methods and follow credit-checking procedures
  • Coordinate with housekeeping to maintain up-to-date room status reports
  • Use suggestive selling techniques to promote hotel services
  • Generate secure room cards and handle guest folios
  • Manage mail, packages, and messages following proper procedures
  • Attend department meetings and maintain front desk cleanliness
  • Handle guest inquiries, provide directions and recommendations as a concierge
  • Report unusual occurrences to management
  • Follow safety, emergency, and accident prevention policies
  • Assist with blocking and pre-registration of rooms
  • Support multiple front office functions including PBX and concierge as needed
