Job Requirements
- At least a high school diploma or GED
- preferably one year of experience in customer service, hotel, food and beverage, administrative, HR, legal, educational, training, financial, or business-related field
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- ability to work flexible schedule including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- excellent customer service skills
- effective written and oral communication skills
- working knowledge of computers and facsimile machines
- ability to multi-task and handle stressful situations
- flexibility to work in various capacities including PBX, Concierge, and Front Desk
- willingness to wear hotel GSA uniform
- ability to stand, sit, and walk for extended periods
- physical ability to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally
- background screening and passing score on hotel reservations system test after training
Job Qualifications
- At least a high school diploma or GED
- preferably one year of experience in customer service or hotel operations
- proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint
- working knowledge of property management systems
- excellent oral and written communication skills

- demonstrated sales and customer service skills

Job Duties
- Ensure appropriate checking in and checking out of guests
- provide courteous and professional service to guests
- assist guests with registration and room assignments
- verify guests' payment methods and follow credit-checking procedures
- post guest and room information in the property management system
- coordinate with housekeeping to keep room status reports updated
- use suggestive selling techniques to promote rooms and services
- manage reservations including pre-registration, cancellations, and same-day bookings
- generate secure room keys
- handle guest folios and city ledger accounts
- maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the front desk area
- follow safety and emergency procedures
- report unusual occurrences to management
- provide concierge services including restaurant reservations and local recommendations
- engage guests in conversation and recognition
- resolve guest issues promptly
- attend department meetings
- understand and apply hotel policies and procedures
- assist with mail, package, and message handling
- coordinate maintenance requests with engineering and maintenance departments
