Job Requirements

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Skill in using a calculator for moderately complex math
  • Ability to interact effectively with diverse customers, showing patience and diplomacy
  • Ability to stand and move continuously during shift
  • Proficiency in English communication, both verbal and written
  • Ability to access and accurately input data into computer systems
  • Visual and hearing ability for emergency detection
  • Meeting minimum bonding standards
  • Neat, clean, and well-groomed appearance
  • High school diploma preferred
  • Prior hospitality experience preferred
  • Additional language skills preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Graduation from high school or equivalent
  • Considerable skill in moderately complex mathematical calculations
  • Ability to handle customer interactions with patience, tact, and diplomacy
  • Proficient in reading, listening, and effective communication in English
  • Able to access and accurately use a computer system
  • Visual and hearing ability to detect emergency situations
  • Ability to remain standing and moving for extended periods
  • Preferred previous hospitality experience
  • Preferred additional language skills

Job Duties

  • Greet customers immediately with a friendly and sincere welcome
  • Complete the registration process by inputting and retrieving guest information, confirming details, selecting rooms, and coding electronic keys
  • Verify and imprint credit cards for authorization, handle cash transactions, balance assigned house bank, and post charges to guest rooms
  • Promptly answer the telephone, input and retrieve messages, handle mail and packages for guests
  • Close guest accounts at check-out, ascertain satisfaction, and negotiate compromises if needed
  • Remain calm and alert during emergencies or heavy hotel activity
  • Field and resolve guest complaints using tact and discretion
  • Work varying schedules as needed to meet hotel business demands
  • Summon bell assistance to escort guests
  • Provide safe deposit box services
  • Maintain familiarity with hotel operations to effectively market property and guide guests
  • Respond to guest inquiries with accurate information
  • Assist PBX operators or reservations agents as assigned
