Job Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret procedure manuals
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to operate Property Management System and PBX system
  • Accountability for balancing daily shift bank
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, use hands for handling objects, occasionally lift up to 25 pounds
  • Maintain personal hygiene and professional appearance
  • Ability to work in moderate noise environment
  • Availability to work varied shifts including AM, PM, and Third Shift

Job Qualifications

  • Six months to one year related experience and/or training
  • Ability to read, analyze and interpret procedure manuals
  • Ability to present information effectively and respond to questions from guests
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables
  • Ability to interpret instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram or schedule form
  • Ability to operate Property Management System, capture email, and use PBX system
  • Accountability for balancing daily shift bank
  • Demonstrated quality customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Provide high level of customer service
  • Conduct pre-assignment of hotel rooms including VIPs, repeat guests, packages, and special requests
  • Check in and check out hotel guests in a confident, professional and friendly manner
  • Answer all phone calls promptly and knowledgeably ensuring complete and accurate information
  • Complete all items on shift checklist by end of shift
  • Follow established key control policy
  • Ensure front desk employee presentation including uniforms and personal hygiene
  • Ensure proper credit policies are followed and verify credit limit report
  • Submit all lost and found articles with reports
  • Be knowledgeable of local area, services, attractions, events, and assist with concierge services
  • Be knowledgeable of fire and emergency procedures
  • Open, secure and balance out daily shift bank including cash, check, and credit card transactions
  • Monitor room availability throughout the day
  • Review daily selling status of the hotel using yield management system
  • Attend monthly department meetings
  • Perform other duties as assigned by immediate supervisor
  • Coordinate with other departments such as Sales, Housekeeping, Bell Staff, and Valet to ensure best guest satisfaction
